Miracles do happen!

Ryan and I were finally released from the hospital on February 16th and moved into my aunt and uncles house in Weymouth.  Thank God for Jimmy & Jo!!  The transplant team wanted us close by just in case anything happened so we would not be heading to Florida anytime too soon.  My mom was taking care of the girls in Florida during the day until Rich got home from work, we were all still seperated. We figured in August we'd be able to go home.  So for now we would travel in and out of Boston each week for follow-ups and Ryan was just doing amazing!  He was gaining weight and for the first time in his little life TPN Free!!
He was doing so well that Dr Kim decided that we were fine to go home in March!!!
Coming home was amazing, to all be together again and have our little boy!

It has been a year since his transplant and he has done very well.  He had  pneumonia at one point and had to have another central line to fight it off, which got infected and that was quickly removed.  But he is doing amazing.  He eats EVERYTHING!!  He loves to eat and I don't use his feeding tube at all for feedings because he does all of it by mouth.  I use it for meds only.
He still has his ostomy which is really a nuisance but hopefully in the spring he will have that reversed.  He is 24 lbs!  Walking, talking and having fun each day with his sisters.  He is a very happy little boy.
I know with transplants things can still and for the rest of his life go wrong but for today he is good and I enjoy every minute with him (well, most... he still is a "normal" toddler!!).

We have been back to Boston since the transplant and we keep in touch with our transplant team at least once a week.  They are an AMAZING team who truly care about the kids.  I am so Thankful that we went to Boston Children's they saved my sons life.  We are forever grateful to Dr. Hung Bae Kim, Dr. Kamin and Julie.
